Baton Rouge, La — On December 8, Wal-Mart and The Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge will launch the Fill the Truck Campaign, in which people are being asked to donate both toys and coats.
All Wal-Mart Super Center's in the Greater Baton Rouge area will participate, helping to make Christmas more magical for children in need this year.
The Salvation Army will provide donations to local boys and girls to help make their Christmas wishes come true.
For over 115 years, The Salvation Army has provided Christmas assistance for disadvantaged children in our community. This year is no different - 2,400 families have applied for assistance this Christmas, which means no less than 5,000 children are in need.
