NBC News — NATO foreign ministers have agreed to send patriot missiles to beef up Turkey's air defenses along its border with Syria. Turkey last month asked NATO for the missiles, which can be used to intercept missiles and planes.
The country feels they are necessary to keep its borders secure following months of unrest in neighboring Syria. The United States, Germany and the Netherlands are the countries expected to supply Turkey with patriots.
