BATON ROUGE, LA — Top seeded Parkview took down Livonia Friday night to advance to the 3A state finals for the second time in three years.
Head coach Kenny Guillot and his Eagles will take on Notre Dame on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Parkview jumped out to an early 14-0 lead but the fifth-seeded Wildcats cut the lead to 14-6 in the second quarter. The rest is history as the Eagles blew past Livonia, 49-6.
Notre Dame squeaked by East Feliciana in a defensive battle, 16-14.
In class 2A Evangel nipped University and they will meet John Curtis for the state championship Saturday.
In class 1A West St. John and Kentwood fell on the road. Their opponents from Friday, Haynesville and Ouachita Christian will go head to head Friday.
