BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — People living in the South Baton Rouge area got together to celebrate Christmas a little early.
The South Baton Rouge Annual Christmas Parade featured decorative floats, marching bands, and of course tons of good throws. The parade centers around the youth of the area and highlighting their achievements.
Those who watched the parade said it's different than your average Mardi Gras parade.
""It's special because you get to get toys and it almost like Christmas," Samanni Brown, parade goer, said.
"They throw most candy then toys then beads," Gianni Stevenson, parade goer, said.
The theme of the parade was a winter wonderland.
