The world champion Saints finally receive their Superbowl rings at a special ceremony in New Orleans. And there's a chance you could get one too.
The team had an extra ring made and will raffle it off to help combat the crisis on the coast. And for one luck fan that means, once in a lifetime, Saints gold.
Tickets are $2 each, there is a minimum purchase of five tickets. Tickets can be purchased now until September 9th at www.saintsgulfcoastrenewal.org
Quarterback Drew Brees said the team decided to step up because"desperate times call for a measure like this and it's certainly an opportunity to raise much needed funds for south louisiana and the whole gulf coast."
The Saints announced the ring raffle at a rally in Plaquemine's Parish last week. But today is the first chance fans can catch a gilmps of the one-of-a-kind suvonier.
Brees joked that the ring the winner receives will be just like his, with one exception,"it'll look just like mine except it won't say Brees on it."
The winner will be announced at the 2010 Saints opener against the Vickings. That game is set for September 9th. All of the money raised will go to help those affected by the spill, cleaning the coast and renewing the wetlands.
