NBC News — Demonstrators in Cairo's Tahrir Square are preparing for another day of protests. Many protesters stayed in their tents on the square overnight saying they won't leave until newly elected President Mohammed Morsi changes his mind about several controversial decrees. Morsi is expected to deliver a speech late Thursday on his decrees.
Aids to the president also say he will call for national unity. Anger erupted last friday in Egypt after Morsi put in place several new laws that put him above the courts and the legislative branch. Morsi said that the changes were needed in order to hurry up the transition from decades of dictatorship rule to a democratic one.
