NBC NATIONAL NEWS — News of the Twinkie crisis first hit the airwaves last Friday.
Immediately, fans started scrambling to get their hands on the last of the tasty snack cakes.
Hot rod enthusiast Jefferson Bryant was determined to stock up.
He and his three kids stopped into a half-dozen stores, buying up every brand of Hostess snack cake.
He has dozens of boxes now in storage in his garage freezer.
"Last year we bought half a hog," Bryant said. "This year we bought half a hostess store."
