BAYOU CORNE, LA (NBC33) — Tonight residents living along Bayou Corne will get their first chance to talk to officials about what new restrictions put on Texas Brine Company will mean for them.
Monday the office of conservation ordered the company to take over control of vent wells previously run by the Shaw Group and add new ones closer to the sinkhole. The company will also have to pay for in home monitoring equipment. The equipment will make sure no gas is trapped under people’s homes.
The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph the worker Catholic Church Hall in Pierre Part.
