NBC News — Palestinian security sealed off the grave of late President Yasser Arafat tuesday as preparations began to exhume his body as part of an investigation into how he died. Palestinian security put up a tall screen around the grave, shielding the preparations from public view. French and Swiss experts are due to exhume the body after an Al Jazeera documentary in July suggested he was killed by a rare radioactive poison.
Allegations of foul play have long surrounded the death of Arafat. The case returned to the headlines in July when a Swiss institute said it had discovered high levels of the radioactive element on Arafat's clothing supplied by his widow. Three French forensic experts are expected to visit Arafat's grave in the West Bank capital of Ramallah.
