NBC News — South Korea has shut down two of its nuclear reactors after it was discovered they were built with unauthorized parts. The reactors are in the southeast of the country.
South korea's government announced earlier this month that the reactors will remain closed until the parts have been replaced. Now their is talk in the country of abandoning nuclear power altogether. Officials are warning that there could be quote "unprecedented" power shortages once the plants are taken off-line.
