Runnels students hold veteran appreciation ceremony

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Today, veterans were thanked a few days early from Runnels Elementary School students.

The students at the Runnels School gave a musical performance in honor of those who served our country. There were songs by the orchestra, harp choir and the chorus.

They performed for over fifty U.S. veterans who all served in the U.S. military.

The veterans were honored at a breakfast reception before the performance.
