BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A 19-year-old man was arrested this morning for his alleged involvement in the death of a man who was found stuffed in the trunk of his car.
The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Damarcos Gross of Baker during the early morning on Friday, Nov. 2. He was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for one count Accessory to First-Degree Murder, Accessory to Arson and Felony Theft.
The body of Clifton Earl Walker, III, 27, was discovered in the trunk of his 2010 Dodge Challenger shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1. Officials believe Walker was struck by the vehicle at an unknown location, then placed in the trunk by Gross and possibly another accomplice. Officials believe the suspects attempted to burn the vehicle after parking it behind a business located on Evangeline Street.
Officials say the case is still under investigation and additional arrests are pending.
