HOUMA, LA (NBC33) — Two men are behind bars for allegedly burglarizing a convenience store in Houma. The suspects stole cigarettes, a bottle of booze and honey buns.
The Houma Police Department reports that the incident occurred shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Two suspects allegedly broke the glass in the front door of Son’s Discount on Barrow Street. Officers who responded to the scene noted that cigarettes, honey buns and a bottle of liquor were stolen from the store.
Detectives were able to quickly identify the suspects based on surveillance camera footage.
Christopher Lee Arceneaux, 20, and Tony Anthony Hester, 28, were both located. However, officers say Hester attempted to resist arrest and had to be subdued.
Both men were charged with Simple Burglary and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
