NBC NATIONAL NEWS — September's weather is one for the record books in the U.S.
Last month tied for the warmest September on record, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The land and sea global temperature averaged 60.21 degrees, which was the same as September 2005; those are the hottest Septembers since 1880.
The arctic ice cover reached an all-time low last month, while Antarctic sea ice posted an all-time high.
