INDEPENDENCE, LA (NBC33) — A man who was pulled over for speeding ended up behind bars after it was revealed that he was wanted for charges related to domestic abuse.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Department reports that the incident happened on Sunday, Oct. 14. We’re told Courtney McGee was pulled over for speeding, but gave the officer a fake name. An investigation followed and his real identity was discovered, as well as several outstanding warrants.
McGee’s warrants included two counts of Aggravated Second-Degree Battery, Domestic Abuse Battery and False Imprisonment.
