Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber is looking for the next big idea.
The deadline to enter for the Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week’s high-stakes sales pitch is this Friday.
Those entering the competition will have a chance to win $125,000 in start-up money if investors like their idea.
It's the first year BRAC has ever put on this type of event, and chamber president Adam Knapp says they're already seeing more entries than they could have hoped for.
“We're getting interest from not only the Baton Rouge area, but from all over the state,” said Knapp. “Folks are calling in; it's getting mentioned in other markets and other entrepreneurship networks."
Again the deadline for entrepreneurs to enter online for the competition is this Friday.
The live competition will be held at L'Auberge on November 15. Judges will decide the winner of the $125,000 there.
