Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The Governor's Children's Cabinet teamed up with several state agencies to launch the Louisiana Kids' dashboard.
The new website breaks down data from several state agencies to make it easier for parents to understand. Parents can look up statewide information about education, healthcare and well-being.
The data looks at where the state ranks in important children's issues, and where agencies would like children to be in the future. The goal is make the information more user-friendly.
"What we really wanted to do is to have a dashboard that a regular person could go to and see the status of kids in their particular community,” stated Tiffany Simpson, Executive Director of the Children’s Cabinet.
Officials say the website will be updated to reflect new data as it becomes available.
