Doctors give free mammograms at LSU Mid-City Clinic

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Today, women lined up for mammograms at the LSU Mid-City Clinic on North Foster.

Doctors and nurse practitioners performed free clinical breast exams for women 18 and older.

There's a big push to make sure women over the age of 40 who haven't had a recent mammogram have one; they say that early detection is key.

Doctors tell NBC33 women who have health insurance will see a bill sent to their insurance company. Women who don't have insurance were given free check-ups today.
