BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Baton Rouge is the place to be in October. That's according to a survey released by CheapFlights.com.
The site says that Capital City is the number one in-demand destination spot this month. Part of the reason includes LSU football and the 13th Gate.
That's the haunted house that's consistently rated one of the top in the nation.
"We're delighted that Baton Rouge is number one in October travel to the Capital City,” Paul Arrigo, Visit Baton Rouge, said. “We're traditionally a drive-in market for leisure travel, for corporate travel, but we're excited that we've been number one for October."
Other cities that made the top five were Fort Myers, Florida; Austin, Texas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Knoxville, Tennessee.
