PORT ALLEN, LA (NBC33) — A rail line damaged during last year's flooding will get rebuilt.
That rail line is at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge.
The U.S. Department of Commerce awarded the port a $1 million grant to get the job done.
The rail line is at the port's marine terminal.
The money is just a small part of the $200 million dollars that the U.S. Congress is giving to help communities damaged by disasters last year.
