BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Another coat of paint will deck the walls of downtown Baton Rouge and in the end, it'll be a work of art. That's due to the efforts of the BR Walls Project .
You'll recall the group started out several months ago with a dream and a Kickstarter account . After raising the necessary funds, they completed the first large scale mural on the side of a building in downtown.
Now, the second mural has a tasty spot at a locally owned restaurant and the owner couldn't be more excited!
"I think it's brining a lot of life to downtown,” Craig Harrington, owner of Harrington’s Restaurant, said. “It's been a lot of energy that's coming from the BR Walls Project and really feeding off of it. It's been a great thing for downtown. Downtown has needed this."
Artist Joseph Konert is the man behind the second mural. He's has worked on the project for the past week and it's nearly complete.
Just head on down to Harrington’s Café at 329 Florida Street for a bite to eat and a good look at the new mural.
