NBC NATIONAL NEWS — New information has been released in the case of Bernie Madoff, the Wall Street swindler who carried out billions of dollars in fraud.
New York prosecutors say they have evidence that Madoff was ripping people off as early as 1970, which is 20 years earlier than first suspected.
There's a new indictment, upgrading charges against four of Madoff's long-term employees in Manhattan. The new indictment adds bank fraud and tax offenses to their charges.
Madoff is currently serving a 150-year prison sentence.
