LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple burglary reports on October 1, 2012 in the Denham Springs area. During the hours of midnight and 3:30 a.m., it was reported that unknown suspects were entering homes while families were sleeping.
During the investigation, it was learned that one or more of these suspects was armed.
The burglaries were reported on Tara Drive and New Hope Avenue in the Plantation Garden Homes Subdivision and on Hermitage Drive in the Plantation Estates Subdivision.
LPSO Deputies motioned for a vehicle leaving the area of the burglaries to stop. Instead, the vehicle fled in an attempt to elude Deputies. That vehicle—later reported stolen--then crashed. The three occupants inside the vehicle at the time took off on foot. Two were apprehended immediately. One was arrested later in the same area.
One of the suspects was found with a weapon on him. A stolen weapon was also recovered from inside the stolen vehicle.
Through an investigation by members of the LPSO Burglary Division, it was learned the three suspects were staying at a local hotel. A search of that hotel room led to numerous articles of stolen property including iphones, weapons, pill bottles, cash and various pieces of jewelry.
