Denham Springs, La — The Denham Springs Antique District presents its annual Fall Festival on October 6, 2012. This event is one of the most popular festivals in the area, attracting thousands of art aficionados, antique lovers and more to the picturesque Denham Springs Antique district. The Festival has sold out of vendor booths early and organizers predict record number crowds for this popular event.
More than 150 vendors featuring local and regional outstanding crafts, antiques and art will line the streets while two stages offer a variety of musical groups. This year's entertainment line-up includes the ever popular Floyd Brown as well as a visit from the stars of Swamp People. In addition, children will thrill to free rides courtesy of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Department. Art lovers will enjoy Mattie Street as it is transformed into "Arts Avenue" with local artists exhibiting a variety of unique works.
The Denham Springs Antique Village has been voted the "Best Antiques Shopping" as well as being voted in the top 3 "Best Antique Shopping", behind only New Orleans and Natchez. Many of the 25-plus Village shops will feature special sale prices on antiques, collectibles, clothing, books and other merchandise during the one day festival.
Festival entertainment is scheduled for two stages this year. One will be on Centerville while the other is at Train Station Park. Swamp People's newest team, Austyn and Blake, will be on hand signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. The complete schedule of entertainment is as follows:
9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Anita Leblanc and James Taylor
10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. - The Old South Jamboree featuring Carlton Jones and His Red Hot Pickers
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - The Spotlight Theater Players presents a tribute of the music of the 1940's - 1960's featuring The King Creole Orchestra

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - SPCA
12:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Odyssey Dance
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 pm - Dysfunktional Bone (A New Orleans Style Brass Band)
2:00pm - 4:00 p.m. - Floyd Brown
Visitors are welcome to bring chairs or use provided seating. The entertainment venues are within easy walking distance of Range Ave. and an array of delicious food booths.
"There's something for everyone - from toddlers to senior citizens," said event manager Al Bye, who is also president of the Antique District Merchants Association. "From the arts, crafts, kids rides - from Swamp People to Floyd Brown, we feel that everyone will have a good time."
Now in its 17th year, the family-friendly Denham Springs Antique Village Fall Festival is the largest in Livingston Parish.
