NBC NATIONAL NEWS — 007 turns the Big 5-0 in "Bond 50." This collection of all 22 James Bond films commemorates the 50th anniversary of the franchise. The set is loaded with extras, including features on all six actors who have played the iconic spy in Her Majesty's Secret Service.
A family's past comes back to haunt them in "Dark Shadows." Johnny Depp plays a vampire emerging from a 200 year old curse. But an even worse affliction may be having to deal with his lethargic descendants and their fashions in the 1970's.
An Emmy winner comes to DVD in "Downtown Abbey." Maggie Smith won Best Supporting Actress in this popular period drama. Set in Britain during WW I, seasons one and two are bundled as a collector's edition in a 5 disc Blu-ray set.
Robin Wright survives filming, the fire swamp, and rodents of unusual size in the 25th Anniversary Edition of "The Princess Bride." This fairy tale for grownups features Wright as Princess Buttercup and Cary Elwes as a pirate trying to save his true love after being mostly dead all day.
Before it was a hip hop riff, the "hard knock life" belonged to a little orphan girl in "Annie." This 30th anniversary release directed by John Huston is packed with bonus features, including interviews with actress Aileen Quinn and sing-alongs.
