NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Many parents say they feel like the ones featured in the new movie "Won't Back Down."
It premiered here at NBC's ongoing Education Nation summit and features parents fighting for their children's future in a school system that's failing.
Texas mom Aya Eneli came to Education Nation looking for solutions.
"We are falling further and further behind, and as a parent I just want the best for my child," she says.
The solutions are out there. Small successes can be found in school districts all across the country.
In Cincinnati, Ohio community learning centers are going beyond the academic.
In Manhattan Jorge Toribio attends a dual language school.
"We are improving our English and studying Spanish," he says.
And in Yuma, Arizona electronic curriculum let students work at their own pace.
It's those successes educators are sharing, hoping to expand the victories to even more communities.
