NATIONAL NEWS (WHNS) — While Christmas may be three months away, Walmart stores nationwide are getting their shelves ready for early shoppers.
The retail giant has released its Top 20 hottest toys for 2012 in time for the start of layaway.
"Walmart is the largest toy distributor, merchandiser, retailer in the country," said Steven Waddell, the Pelham Road Walmart's store manager. "We sell a lot of toys."
With something for every price range and every age, the aisles are already filled with the hottest toys around.
One section has already been cleared out with the toy that's predicted to be this year's top seller - the Furby.
Because the Furby has already sold out at the Pelham Road store and they are waiting on a new shipment in a few days.
And if parents and shoppers alike hope to get their hands on one early, they can always put it on layaway.
For shoppers who want to start early but wait to pay, layaway offers customers a way to save throughout the fall. Walmart layaway began Sept. 16 and lasts through Dec. 14.
If the price drops after you put the item on layaway, it will be honored when you buy it.
"It's kind of worry free for parents right now to go ahead and get their toy lists and get in here and put it in layaway," said Waddell.
If your children haven't already told you want they want this holiday season, find out soon to have their must-have toy saved for a later day.
Some of Walmart's top toys besides the Furby include VTech's InnoTab Learning App Tablet, Nerf's N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster, and the Lalaloopsy Silly Hair Star interactive dolls.
