BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Four LSU interior design students got the opportunity of a lifetime. They had a chance to help redesign the Main Street Market in downtown Baton Rouge.
The students spent their summer working with professionals to come up with aesthetic and functional changes to help the market reach its full potential.
"To work on a project that could be actualized is amazing to do as a student and LSU really prepared us for this internship,” Madeleine Rappold, LSU student, said. “So, we felt like we really understood and were able to use what we learned in class and apply it to the project"
Rappold went on to say she hopes the project gets some funding and their proposed changes can become a reality.
