Baton Rouge (NBC 33) — In St. Martin Parish, a man is in custody for a home invasion that happened earlier this month. Deputies say Jacoldy Fox, 22, was picked up by the U.S. Marshall's Violent Offender Task Force. Fox is thought to have broken into a house back on September 13th. He was booked on a list of charges, including Armed Robbery and Aggravated Kidnapping. More charges are possible.
In Rapides Parish, a volunteer fire station is in the line of fire. Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputies say someone shot up the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department. When firefighters came into work, they noticed eleven bullet holes on the station's roll-up doors and through the station's sign. Firefighters tell us one bullet barely missed hitting the windshield of an expensive fire truck. Damage is estimated at around 15-hundred dollars, to be paid for at taxpayer expense. Deputies say Crime Stoppers will be putting together a reward soon for information leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible for the damage.
In East Baton Rouge Parish, the winner of "The Biggest Loser" made a stop right here in the Capitol City today. His message: nutrition for young children. Patrick House made a stop this morning at The Dufrocq School. It's one of three stops he's making at schools in our area. He talked with kids about healthy lifestyles and good nutrition.
He also told the children his own story, about gaining the weight and losing it again.
