Baton Rouge (NBC) — In Bossier Parish, a Shreveport man is in jail for shooting his wife in the leg. And authorities say she wanted him to do it. Bossier City Police say Tyquan Groomes, 26, shot his wife in the leg to get her out of military service. Both Groomes and his wife are members of the U.S. Air Force. Police say the wife claimed an intruder shot her. But they later found out it was her husband. He is facing charges, though we’re told she’s going to be okay.
In Tangipahoa Parish, Sheriff’s investigators are on the look-out for a man wanted for "looting" in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac. Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish
Sheriff's Office say they identified an Amite man, David Mitchell McCloud, 46, from surveillance video taken from two separate locations where someone had broken in and stolen generators. Anyone with information on Mitchell, is asked to call Crime Stoppers in Tangipahoa Parish.
