Baton Rouge, La — Southern University's Office of Career Services will hold its annual fall Career Fair with more than 50 companies seeking employees.
The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on September 12 at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
Some of the companies expected to be in attendance, include ExxonMobil, Raytheon, Cintas, Cox Communications, Entergy, Johnson & Johnson, Texas Instruments, Shell, Delphi, Monsanto, Baker Hughes, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Boeing.
Students will meet with a number of large companies and have the opportunity to discuss job opportunities and distribute resumes. Recent national stories have focused how tough the job market is for recent college graduates; it was mentioned at both recent political party conventions. Southern’s career fair is a means to provide students with a leg up on the competition.
