Studio City, CA (KTLA) — A man who jumped the fence at Miley Cyrus's Studio City home early Saturday was arrested by police for trespassing and burglary.
Police had responded to a 911 trespassing call in the 11500 block of Amanda Drive in Studio City.
They found the man hiding in the bushes, and when he refused to cooperate with police, they use a non-lethal Taser gun on him.
The man, who identified himself as Jason Luis Rivera, was armed with a pair of scissors when he was apprehended.
As police searched him for additional weapons he told police, "I am a friend of Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years."
He reportedly told people at Cyrus' residence that he hoped to see the singer. She was not home at the time of the incident.
The man reportedly refused to leave the property, and lit candles while he was there before police arrived.
Police arrested the man for burglary as well as trespassing, because he was caught behind a locked security gate on the property.
Police say the man has no prior arrest record in California, but has a lengthy record in the state of Texas, including a trespassing charge.
