Texas woman attacks boyfriend with scissors, broom stick

LUFKIN, TX (KETK) — A Lufkin woman is behind bars after attacking her boyfriend with several household items.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Abney Avenue to reports of family violence. When they arrived, police were told by a man that he had been assaulted by his live-in girlfriend, later identified as Angela C. Santana, 41.

The victim told authorities Santana cut his thumb with scissors and hit him over the head with a broom stick.

Santana was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond is set at $20,000. She is currently in the Angelina County Jail.
