A school at LSU is playing a big role in researching oil samples for Federal Agencies.
The School of Coastal Studies and Environment is analyzing samples collected from the Gulf of Mexico.
That analysis is sent to the scene and plays a key role in helping decide what steps to take in the gulf. Agencies like the Coast Guard and NOAA are relying on LSU for advice on some pretty important decisions.
