PLAQUEMINES PARISH-- A cattle roundup is underway, after the animals were stranded in floodwaters brought on by Hurricane Isaac.
About a thousand head of cattle were stranded in lower Plaquemines Parish.
Louisiana has been feeding the animals while they sort out who they belong to.
Hundreds have already been shipped out to other parts of the state and Mississippi.
About a hundred head of cattle died in the floodwaters.
The USDA is overseeing the removal of the carcasses.
