NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Co-workers try to get it right in the bonus features for "The Office: Season Eight." Catch up with the Dunder-Mifflin gang as they prepare for their upcoming final season. Last year, the Scranton branch was under new management after the departure of Steve Carrell, which only added to the workaday chaos.
Another NBC Thursday staple comes to DVD. Season four of "Parks and Recreation" plays hardball when Amy Poehler's chipper optimist runs for public office. But she's got a tough fight on her hands, running against trust fund incumbent Paul Rudd.
At the movies, "Parks and Rec's" Chris Pratt teams with "Community" cast member Alison Brie in "The Five Year Engagement." They're sidekicks in this Judd Apatow-produced comedy. Jason Segel and Emily Nlunt decide to tie the knot, but a series of life choices and delays leave many wondering whether they'll ever make it to the altar.
Jason Statham is busy introducing his fist to people's faces in "Safe”. He plays a small-time fighter whose family is killed by the mob after he fails to throw a match. But when those same gangsters go after a 12-year-old math prodigy, all bets are off.
Art imitates whatever the head writer wants it to in "Bored to Death: The Complete Third Season." This HBO series is written by Jonathan Ames and stars Ted Danson, Zach Galifianakis, and Jason Schwartzman who plays Jonathan Ames. But this version of Ames is an unlicensed private eye who decides to embark on his most important case yet: to find his biological father.
