BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: Deputies apprehended the work release inmate on Wednesday, Sept. 5 during the morning at a relative's residence after receiving a call from the relative. Brumfield was taken into custody and booked at the parish prison for simple escape.
ORIGINAL: East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Deputies need help locating a work release inmate who walked away from his job today on Coursey Blvd.
Johnathan Kemon Brumfield, 22, was in parish prison serving time for theft over $500. He is described as a Black male, 5'10" and has a bald head.
Brumfield was last seen wearing a black short sleeve button up shirt, black Pants and brown work boots.
