Preparations to merge schools in East Feliciana Parish are already underway, but some residents in the affected areas aren't ready to give up.
A group called the East Feliciana Concerned Citizens marched in protest of the merger Tuesday night.
They say they're fighting for the children of the Clinton school district.
The consolidation of the schools is expected to save $2.5 million.
But some community members say it's not worth it.
They took their message to the school board office.
