LAPLACE, LA (NBC33) — No matter how many warnings we hear, some people will always be stranded in rising floodwaters during a hurricane. That makes some of the most important people in a storm's response the National Guard members who risk their safety to help others.
Tonight, NBC33's David Lippman  will give you an exclusive look at how those rescue missions take place, including the obstacles you don't think of that make helping evacuees an even bigger challenge. He spent the night with the National Guard in LaPlace. Watch his report only on NBC33 News.
