BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: (10:00 a.m.) - I-10 East remains closed at the I-10/12 split. I-10 West is also closed at Siegen. The ramp from I-12 West onto I-10 East remains closed. I-10 East traffic is being detoured to I-12 East at the I-10/I-12 Split and I-10 West traffic is being detoured off the interstate at Siegen. State Police say there’s a chance that the closures could last through tomorrow.
One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Everyone else involved in the crash is okay.

UPDATE: A tanker truck carrying 9,000 gallons of Isobutane was hit by another big rig involved in the accident. The chemical is leaking from the tanker truck. State Police HazMat crews are working to get the situation under control. NBC33's Andrew Capasso is on scene and will be providing updates.
ORIGINAL STORY: Multiple police agencies are on the scene of a traffic crash on Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge over Essen Lane. The accident involves a flipped car and three 18-wheeler trucks. Propane is leaking onto the highway.
Here's how this will impact your morning commute:
- Entrances and exits at Essen on I-10 are closed.
- I-10 West at Bluebonnet is closed.
- The I-12 West ramp onto I-10 East is closed.
State Police, Baton Rouge Police, and Hazardous Materials crews are on the scene right now. At this point - there's no word on how long the interstate systems will be closed.
