BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC33) — Tropical Storm Isaac formed in the Atlantic Basin Tuesday afternoon. Winds are sustained around 40 mph with gusts nearing 55 mph. He is expected to gain stregnth over the next few days as he moves into the Caribbean Sea. An eventual turn north, toward Cuba and Florida, is forecast for Isaac this weekend. However, a definate U.S. land location is still not known. Areas in Florida and the East Coast, as well as the Northern Gulf, should closesly monitor this cyclone.
