Louisiana (NBC33) — Louisiana health officials are urging you to be especially cautious when outdoors.
There have been 24 new cases of West Nile virus, and ten of those cases have the most serious type of the virus.
In our area, the most dangerous form of the virus has been found in St. Tammany, East Baton Rouge and Tangipahoa parishes.
Scientists have found infected mosquito pools in all parts of the state.
