Houma, La — On August 14, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Houma Police were called to Houma Christian School in reference to a juvenile complaint.
Upon arrival, school officials stated that on August 10 a former 16 year-old juvenile student was on the school campus without authorization refusing to leave. The juvenile told school officials he was on the campus to drop something off to a female student.
The former juvenile student then left the school campus.
School officials later received information that the 16 year-old juvenile had posted statements on Facebook that seemed to indicate threats against the school and students.
Officers were able to contact the juvenile’s mother for an interview to be conducted at the police station. Officers interviewed the juvenile in the presence of his mother and at the conclusion of the interview the juvenile was charged with Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson.
The juvenile was then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center as this case remains under investigation.
