Ten Baton Rouge residents have started a life changing journey to get healthy and lose weight. Our David D’Aquin is working on getting healthy too, and he has tonight’s “Losing it in Louisiana” report. It takes guts to get on TV and admit you have a weight problem – but admitting you have a problem is the first step in getting healthy. D’Aquin is working with nine Baton Rouge residents to lose weight. They all want to change their lives. Over the next six months, we’re going to document their weight-loss journeys both on the air and online. We’ve teamed up with Bally Total Fitness, and ten personal trainers. Our participants are all meeting with nutritionists and health experts. All our participants have been outfitted with shoes from New Balance Baton Rouge. They’ll get nutritious smoothies from Smoothie King. The Governor’s Council of Physical Fitness and Sports will track their progress. And our participants have the support of Baton Rouge General Hospital. Our participants have all the tools – and now the pressure’s on them to change their lives.
