BATON ROUGE,LA (NBC33) — NBC33 Losing it in Louisiana contestant James Henry is looking a lot leaner after five months of hard work in the gym. He's dropped 52 pounds beating the odds.
"I didn't think i'd be under 220 again honestly," said Henry. "Even my doctor at one point said you're over 30 you've kind or reached a equilibrium your body is just not going to shed weight."
Now Henry says people can hardly believe the once 258 pound man has lost so much weight.
"That was kind of shocking to see people not recognize me anymore to think that i was that heavy," said Henry.
Henry says he's got a secret weapon that will help him continue his success even after the program ends: his wife Casey. They've made working out a fun part of their everyday routine.
"It's a life style for both of us," said Casey Henry. "We are here 4 or 5 times a week. We have our friday night date night are here now."
Casey Henry says Losing it in Louisiana has helped her husband get his spirit back.
"You can just tell that he feels so much better about everything, and it really has effected his attitude about his life. He's much more up beat," said Casey Henry.
James Henry says with his wife support he just cant quit the gym.
"There are days that you just don't feel up to it, and I can't I know she's going to go and that means there is no way that i can let her down," said James Henry. "I know how well she's doing and the last thing I want to do is be a discouragement to her."
