Last week's Olympic Challenge was challenging yet a lot of fun. It's something about having all of the contestants and trainers together that gives me that added boost I need when I start to get bored with my workout team. It was definitely an honor to be teamed up with James Henry because he's a beast. Although I didn't win every challenge I participated in, I felt like I have improved so much in certain areas especially running. Last week was tough because my mama would have turned 61 on July 17th and my spirits were really low, but the challenge reminded me of my goal and I know my mama was cheering me on the whole time. Again, I think that Losing It In Louisiana picked a wonderful group of people and is helping them change their lives for the better and I'm so glad that I submitted my application.

The Losing It Games were an very fun way to get to see how well each contestant has progressed since month one. We’ve dieted, worked out, and weighed in but whenever we do activities together we are at our best. Keep up the great work losing it family! We are all on our way to the finish line.
James Henry with the green team writes:
“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well,” said Pierre de Coubertin, founder of modern Olympic Games. I think this is something we can all take to heart.

Last week we had the Losing It In Louisiana Olympics. I was very proud to be teamed with Anita Katzman; her trainer, Justin Kirk; and, of course, my trainer, Joey Juneau. We all worked very well together and gave the other two teams some real competition. This was a competition that I needed to help boost my confidence after I didn't do so well in the one on one competition a couple of weeks ago. If we have another team competition, I hope to have the same team.
Anita Katzman with the yellow team writes:
All of us competed in the Losing it in Louisiana Games, in honor of the upcoming Olympics. They were challenging, but we managed to have fun in the process! The trainers came up with some creative events for us to compete in. During these events, I realized I enjoy a little friendly competition. I was surprised to find I could do a wall-sit for 15 minutes. Near the end, my trainer told me to stay up and not to quit. That kept me motivated, and when we got to the very end, I just wanted to win. I was the last person standing (sitting) - I could not believe it!
Losing it in Louisiana has changed me in many positive ways. Thank you to Bally's, NBC33 and my trainer, Justin. Now I'm looking towards new goals to train for, so I recently signed up for the Warrior Dash in October.

This past week we had the Losing it Olympics and it was pretty
challenging. But it was also very fun! I never in my life thought i
would see someone do a wall sit for over 15 minutes. That was probably
the craziest thing I might ever see at the gym! The Olympics was
definitely by far the funniest & most challenging thing we have done
