NBC NATIONAL NEWS — We all hope that in crisis, we'll know what to say, we'll know what to do and we'll know how to help.
In reality, it may be one of the hardest jobs.
Dispatchers for the Aurora Public Safety Communication Center chose to deal with crisis as a profession.
They said the 911 calls from the Century 16 movie theater started pouring in at 12:39 a.m. Friday morning.
The first caller reported a shooting in an auditorium.
Kathie Stauffer and Cheri Brungardt say they chose their profession to help people, and the last thing on their mind was to be recognized for doing their job.
Theirs are just two of many stories after Friday's horrific theater shooting in Aurora.
