DUTCHTOWN, LA (NBC33) — Friends, family and teammates of Dutchtown Freshmen James Burke Cobb gathered together to remember the former football player.
The fourteen-year-old died last week suddenly after football practice.
Hundreds of people came out to Istrouma Baptist Church for the visitation.
Cobb's Dutchtown High School football teammates say their still in shock over the loss of such a kind person.
"He was funny. Whenever he smiled, he'd make everybody smile,” said teammate Mylik McWilliams. “He just lights up the whole room. He was a loveable person."
"We were at the court and he started saying he was feeling dizzy and stuff. He just fell. It happened really fast," stated teammate Chris Falgoust. “He didn't hate anybody. He didn't have a mean bone in his body. He always had a smile on his face."
Cobb was also a member of the Dutchtown Lacrosse Team.
