Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — LSU's Mo Isom is sharing her story of overcoming the odds, this time with the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge.
Isom, the former LSU soccer star who made waves trying out for LSU’s football team last season, came before the group hoping to spread a message of encouragement.
She says she's hoping through sharing her story, she'll be able to inspire confidence in others.
“Through a lot of those struggles, people really wanted to put limitations on what I could do next,” stated Isom. “It sort of came a point where I was tired of any limitations being put around me, and I made it my focus to break through those odds and push through that adversity."
As for the future, Isom says she's not sure where the road may take her, but she plans to continue speaking publicly about her journey.
