Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Violence prevention experts joined city leaders today at City Hall to see what they can do to help with the Capitol City's latest crime prevention initiative, BRAVE.
Leaders say it'll take teamwork from community members, religions organizations and law enforcement to bring down violence in the capital city.
District Attorney Hillar Moore met with a group of violence experts today. He says he has faith even though the program has only been in place a few weeks it's already paying off.
"I think on the street the work that the sheriff and city police are doing trust-wise, we seem to be receiving more information and evidence from the community. So that's a positive step," stated Moore.
